The company was founded in 1986 with its original name, Total Peripherals Group.  It grew into a force in the Australian telecommunications industry, branching into the international arena.  In 2016, TPG became Singapore’s fourth mobile operator.

TPG has market-leading unlimited ADSL2+, NBN, Ethernet and Fibre Optic Internet, mobile and phone services offerings for the personal and small office market.  TPG is a multi-awarded company, winning the CANSTAR Blue Most Satisfied Customers Award in 2016 and 2013.

TPG is considered the second largest fixed-line Internet provider in Australia. TPG and its subsidiary iiNet have between them around 1.91 million subscribers for broadband as of January 2017.  At the beginning of the year, the company reported a profit of 11%, largely due to new subscribers of TPG NBN and the growth of iiNet.

TPG has a Personal and Small Office Division, which provides unlimited ADSL2+, NBN, Ethernet and Fibre Optic Internet, Mobile, and Phone services.  TPG Business, Enterprise, and Government provide network services for government bodies in Australia and blue chip companies.  Its other subsidiaries iinet is a provider of ADSL2+, NBN and other communication services for premium personal and business clients.  Its other subsidiary, AAPT is a wholesale carrier of communications services.

TPG has end-to-end network infrastructure.  This includes 400 DSLAM enabled telephone exchanges across Australia. The TPG network included PPC-1 cable for international fibre, local fibre in Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane, 65 call collection areas for voice interconnects, and a point of presence in more than 400 locations. They own and operate their very own submarine cable system, which is an information highway between Australia and the rest of the world, particularly Asia and the Americas.

TPG customer service ensures that their clients and subscribers are well-informed of their products and services.

TPG serves customers with the following products: NBN bundles, Fibre to the Building, ADSL2+ with Home Phone, and mobile plans (T4G).

NBN bundles include NBN Broadband Bundle for personal and small office use. Personal and Business account holders can select from three connection speeds: Standard, which is up to 12 Mbps, Boost, which is up to 25 Mbps, and Superfast, which is up to 100 Mbps.  Contract terms are flexible at 18 months, with no setup fee, and no lock-in period, which has a $99.95 set up fee.  Personal clients have five different plans to choose from, with prices ranging from $29.99 to $79.99.  For Business Bundles, TPG offers a 500GB bundle, which includes unlimited local and national calls, and two bundles with unlimited data usage. The unlimited bundle plan that starts at $109.99 per months has unlimited local and national calls, and pay as you go 13/1300, AU mobile, and international calls.  The bundle which starts at $119.99 has unlimited local, national, and mobile calls, and pay as you go 13/300 and international calls.  

All business bundles include Wi-Fi Modem and a digital voice service. The TGP Digital voice service is delivered using voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP). The NBN business plans also come with a Static IP address.  Their broadband has unlimited upload and download, with 20 email accounts and 30MB of web space.  The NBN FTTN equipment is a top of the line Wireless 4 Port NBN Modem Router.  It is VoIP capable, has IPv6 support, Wireless AC Dual Band, and advanced wireless security.

Other personal bundles on offer by TPG are Fibre to the Building Bundle and ADSL2+ with Home Phone Bundle.  Other small office bundles include Bizphone, Video Surveillance, and Business VoIP.  

If the customer only opts for an internet connection, TPG offers Standalone ADSL2+, Broadband Off-Net and Naked ADSL2+ for both small offices and personal use.  There are also other Internet packages for small offices such as Ethernet Broadband for 10Mbps and 20 Mbps and Premium SHDSL.  

The T4G Plans are its mobile plan offerings for personal customers, while the business mobility plans are for small businesses.  Plan types for mobile subscribers can be Pay As You Go, Included Value, or Unlimited.  Prices range from $15 a month to $24.99 a month.  Lowest data starts at 3GB, and highest is 10GB.  These are all SIM only mobile plans and there is no lock-in contract.  

Other services for businesses are domain name hosting, website hosting, POP3 email account, IMAP email account, and IP addressing.

The Fibre to Building bundles designed for personal account holders have two connection speeds:  Standard, this is up to 12Mbps and Superfast, which ranges from 50Mbps to 100Mbps.  Contract terms are 18 months with no setup fee, and no lock-in, which has a $99.95 set up fee.

For business, enterprise and government customers, TPG customer service include Data, Internet, Voice, and Cloud offerings. Their data offerings include Dark Fibre, E-Line, E-LAN, IP VPN, and Wavelength services.  Their internet offerings include IP-Line and Fibre400.  Their cloud products include Private Cloud, Virtual Data Centre, National AWS Connects, and Co-Location.

Dodo Customer Service

Dodo’s internet services include the Dodo NBN plans, ADSL2+ Broadband, and Mobile Broadband.   ADSL2+ Broadband plans can be unlimited at $29.90 per month or customers enjoy 50 GB at $24.90 per month.  Dodo broadband plans users are able to get No Peak or Off Peak Limits, Perfect for streaming, Great Value call pack add-ons, and flexible contract options. There are four ways to get connected to a Dodo broadband plan.  First off, interested customers can sign up online, they can go to Dodo Connect Kiosks, they can do Live Chat Online, or give Dodo customer service a call at 13 DODO.

Dodo offers two entertainment bundle deals for the whole family.  Australian families are now able to enjoy family entertainment with unlimited channels and streaming with Fetch, along with unlimited Dodo broadband. The ADSL2+ with Fetch bundle, which is $49.90 per month, has unlimited ADSL Data, 1 channel pack, 24-month contract, and a leased modem.  The NBN + Fetch Bundle, which costs $79.90 per month, has the following inclusions: unlimited NBN data, 1channel pack, 24-month contract, and a leased modem. There are various channel packs available for both bundles, which include channels for kids, lifestyle, variety, and knowledge.

Dodo customers can select from three NBN plans: 10 GB, which is $28.90 per month, 50 GB, which is $39.90 per month, and Unlimited, which is $59.90 per month.  All plans have no charge for the NBN ready modem rental.  NBN plans offer three-speed options: 12/1 Mbps, 25/5 Mbps and 100/40 Mbps.  The 12 Mbps speed is available on all plans and it is an entry level option for light users.  The 25 Mbps is for those who stream and download content. For the ultimate gaming and streaming experience, customers opt for the 100 Mbps speed choice.

For their mobile plans, Dodo offers both postpaid and prepaid plans for customers.  Customers can choose from 24-month plans, 12-month plans, or even 1-month plans.  Post-paid customers can also choose from 1GB, 2GB, 4GB, 8GB, or 12GB data plans. They can also select from two speeds: 3G or 4G.  The Multi-SIM plan allows 1 SIM to be placed on up to 5 devices with additional SIMs charged at $20, plus $5 per month.

For the Dodo mobile prepaid plan, customers have an option to select a starter pack SIM card that includes a 3G HSDPA USB Modem for $40.00 upfront payment.  There are several top-ups that customers can choose from, with usage based on data. Dodo also offers 4G mobile plans with 24 and 12-month contract options. There are three available plans with the Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus: Mobile 4G small, Mobile 4G medium, and Mobile 4G large.  Each has progressively bigger mobile data, unlimited SMS and MMS, and cost of excess data at $12 per GB.

Dodo also offers its customers home phone plans.  Home Phone plans can either be the 24-month contract or month-to-month contract.  The Dodo Phone Anywhere app allows customers to make voice and video calls, send instant messages and share files anywhere.

Dodo Power and Gas abides by a special customer charter, which covers the rights and regulations of customers regarding contract commencement and termination, cancellation of the contract, expiration of the contract, moving house, changes to prices, rates and tariffs, billing information, payment options, and credit management.

As an additional service to its customers, Dodo Gas and Power recently introduced its newest promo entitled Hour of Power.  With no lock-in contract, customers can avail of 30% electricity usage rate and 20% off gas usage rates.

Dodo offers various insurance products such as car insurance, home and contents insurance, travel insurance, and roadside assistance. The standard benefits of car insurance are included such as new car replacement, emergency transport and overnight accommodation, debris removal, lump sum or instalment payments, and many others. Home and Contents insurance includes coverage for lightning, earthquake, fire, explosion, temporary accommodation, and much more. Travel insurance covers delayed luggage allowance, hospital cash allowance, travel delay expenses, and much more.
